About Us
Kirkwood Camp & Conference Center has been providing ministry camps since 1963. Located just outside Wilmington, Ohio in Clinton County, Kirkwood is conveniently located off I-71 on State Route 73. Kirkwood is a 214 acre camp and conference center with a small lake for fishing and canoeing, creek, open fields, gently rolling hills, RV park, lodge, outdoor inground pool, and summer and winter cabins.
Over the past 30 plus years, Kirkwood has played host to numerous weekly summer youth camps, adult and youth weekend retreats, American Baptist Churches of Ohio Bible Mission Conferences, Nature Clubs, Boy Scouts, band camps, family reunions, small business outtings and events, and much more. In fact, Kirkwood has been a staple for many people now through their third generation.
Kirkwood is owned and operated by the Kirkwood Ministries, Inc. c/o Kenwood Baptist Church within the Miami Association of the American Baptist Churches of Ohio. The facility site Exective Director is Tim Swicegood. On May 5th, 2007, the newly-formed and singly-purposed Kirkwood Ministries, Inc. purchased Kirkwood Camp & Conference Center in its entirety.
Our Mission
The mission of Kirkwood is to provide quality Christian camping in a place set a part for connecting and growing with friends. Kirkwood is a camp for life dedicated to providing places and forever experiences to assist children, youth and adults grow in their faith in God.
Our mission is only possible through the faithfullness and generosity of many individuals and churches. Kirkwood Camp & Conference Center should be a part of your A.B.C. Ohio church mission's outreach. Through your help we are able to provide scholarships for individuals otherwise unable to go to camp; upgrade and provide for improvements for the facilities.
